Dr. Liz Sanli is an Educator and Researcher in the School of Maritime Studies. Her research focuses on performance, learning, and behaviour change in complex, work-related contexts such as seafaring, firefighting, and fish harvesting. She also studies the roles of training and performance contexts (e.g., social, physical, & psychological environments) on learning and retention of skills and knowledge.
Dr. Sanli is a Sr. Researcher at MI and is cross appointed to the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Recent and active sources of funding for her research include MI, MUN, International Association of Maritime Universities, International Grenfell Association, NL Hydro, Insurance Bureau of Canada, The Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment, and The Norwegian Seafood Research Fund.
