Register by Sept. 30 to attend fall convocation 2021

Memorial University’s 2021 convocation ceremonies will proceed in person this fall at the Arts and Culture Centre in St. John’s. The fall convocation ceremonies are for students who completed their academic programs between May 2021 and August 2021 and who applied to graduate.

To ensure appropriate density and adherence to public health guidelines, the sessions will take place over two days: Thursday, Oct. 21, and Friday, Oct. 22. The schedule is available here.Convocation 2021

Those eligible to graduate may register to attend the convocation ceremonies via Memorial Self-ServiceRegistration will be open until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Just as fall 2021 is a transitional semester for current students, the fall convocation ceremonies will be slightly different to align with COVID-19 restrictions. This may include fewer available guest tickets for graduands and restrictions on the number of attendees from the university and the community. Further information on the special health and safety measures will be shared via the Memorial’s convocation web page: https://www.mun.ca/convocation/.

As usual, convocation ceremonies will be livestreamed for those who are not able to attend in person.

The fall ceremonies will not include students who graduated in spring 2020, fall 2020 or spring 2021. Planning is underway for separate ceremonies for those graduates to be held in 2022.
