RDC investment supports client led research at MI
Wednesday, November 21, 2012

The Research & Development Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador (RDC) is investing more than $1.6 million in funding for 18 business-led projects.

Included in this investment is the allotment of $12,010 towards a project being conducted by Sedna Nutraceuticals Inc., a Whitbourne company involved in the research and development of nutraceutical products of the highest quality and purity, in collaboration with the Marine Institute's Centre for Aquaculture and Seafood Development (CASD).

This project will assist in determining a shelf-life for each of the company's products. CASD's role is to conduct a shelf-life study on three dried berry products currently produced by the company. The study will document the microbial, chemical and sensory changes in the products over a 12-month period.
