Each quarterly issue is published online in open access, flipbook format, making it accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world at no charge. Readers include private sector companies; academic and research institutions, including libraries; government departments and agencies; industry regulators; and oceans-related associations and organizations.
Readership statistics change slightly with each published issue, depending on the theme. On average, each issue is read in 42 countries across six continents (not Antarctica).
