Tracey O’Keefe

I am a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland with Bachelor degrees in Technology and Education and hold a Masters in Educational Leadership. I have a diploma in Marine Engineering Systems Design and a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate. I spent ten years of my career as a propeller designer and as a project engineer, predominantly in marine manufacturing and repair. My teaching specialties are propulsion technology, prime movers and marine engineering knowledge.

Kevin Strowbridge, Instructor

I am formally educated in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Systems Design from Memorial University of Newfoundland and secured eighteen years of experience with ship and oil rig engineering and production prior to teaching at MI. I fulfilled many roles in the shipbuilding process; from various levels in most engineering disciplines to varying levels on the production end. I gained experience in working with regulatory bodies and inspectors and in the writing of specifications, technical reports, and procedures.

Mark Wareham, Instructor

In addition to being a graduate of the Marine Institute with technical diplomas in Marine Engineering Systems Design and Naval Architecture, I hold an engineering degree from MUN in Ocean & Naval Architecture. Before joining the Marine Institute I worked for a number of marine consultancy firms finishing up as lead Naval Architect for two boatyards in NL. I hold a Yachmaster certificate from the MCA in the UK and am currently working to increase the Marine Institute’s offering of courses for pleasure boat operators.
