Planning and Institutional Analysis Unit

The Planning and Institutional Analysis Unit provides information and analytical services to support MI’s vision and strategic plan, decision-making and resource allocation throughout all levels of the Institute, in alignment with, and driven by the Institute’s vision, mission and academic priorities. It collects, reviews, analyzes and uses information about MI’s students, programs, employees, research and development and other activities, to get a better understanding of Institutional performance, how our resources are used and how we can use them more effectively to improve the quality of our services.

Planning and Institutional Analysis also provides institutional, educational and industrial research services to the Institute community, creates and administers surveys to collect information, and responds to ad hoc requests for data and analysis. It distributes information, both inside and outside the Institute, through publications and reports. Planning and Institutional Analysis is also a resource for the Institute’s Executive Committee, schools and industrial response units in carrying out business development, proposal development, analytical activities, identifying funding opportunities and other related planning activities.
