The Marine Institute’s Master of Marine Studies (Aquaculture) focuses on strategic planning, decision- making, and management for aquaculture organizations. This program will harness the power of your expertise to stand out as an aquaculture managerial candidate in your organization and advance in your career.

This course-based program consists of 36 credit hours of course work and a 12-week internship that provides theoretical, intensive hands-on and practical components, as well as applied management perspectives in the aquaculture field. The degree may be completed in six semesters on a full-time basis. The first six courses are delivered initially on campus and move online as students progress through the program.

Advanced students who graduated from the Marine Institute’s former Advanced Diploma in Sustainable Aquaculture in the last ten years and have a minimum of at least one year of relevant professional work experience, may be granted advanced standing for select courses.

Admission is limited and competitive. To be considered for admission to the program, an applicant will normally possess a relevant second-class or better undergraduate degree (cumulative grade point average ≥ 2.75/4) from a university of recognized standing.
